Fantastique will be performed by German violinist and Concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jena, Rosa Donata Milton, who is known for her major violin concertos of the 20th century.

‘The composer’s violin concerto effortlessly weaves a gorgeous strand of melodic genius through one of the great concertos of the 20th century,’ states Dr Nicholas Milton, speaking on the work of Korngold. ‘“Symphonie Fantastique” by Berlioz is one of the most important and impressive works of the orchestral repertoire. In an interpretation with the magnificent Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, this will surely be a landmark event for our community.’
